3 ingredients for a happy life

1- Enjoyment

Finding a taking part in fun activities with others Fully engaging in activities that involve laughter, joy, gratitude and connection

2- Satisfaction

This is the thrill you get from accomplishing something valuable to you.

It will involve you using your own unique strengths to overcome a challenge or task

3- Purpose

This is about finding meaning in your daily actions. It allows you to find something more important than your instant gratification and move towards behaviours that make a difference

None of these areas are mutually exclusive. They are all interconnected and they all involve action.

This is because happiness isn’t found. It’s created through action.

The more you search for happiness the more elusive it becomes.

It’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking happiness is just around the corner.

We pursue happiness rather than finding happiness in the pursuit itself.

A happy life isn’t a life without challenges or discomfort.

It’s a life that is built through a positive attitude.

It’s a life where you can accept situations and circumstances as they are rather than constantly wishing them to be different.

It’s a life of grow and building skills.

It’s a life of fulfilling work.

It’s a life of self care and the care of others.

It’s a life of taking action in-line with your values.

It’s a true life paradox that the things in life that bring us the most happiness can also at times involve moments of being unhappy.

And then finally we can come to accept one fact.

Happiness is simply a choice.
